Don and I
shared a love that lasted a lifetime...Together.
We built our home from the ground up with our own
hands...Together.
We raced the Windmill class sailboat that Don built and
in a storm, capsized....Together.
We paddled in synchronized rhythm in the kayak Don
built...Together.
He tilled the earth, I planted the garden, and we
gratefully gathered the harvest...Together.
We watched our baby boys grow into fine men...Together.
We embraced the wonderful joy of being
grandparents...Together.
We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary with a
helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon...Together. (No
small feat, as Don didn't like heights!)
When it came to motorcycling, he was on his own.
(Although, I was told I'd look good wearing leather!)
We walked along the ocean's surf and got excited about
rainbows and sunsets...Together.
We trusted in God's promises and daily
prayed...Together.
Now I wait until that day when we'll forever
be...Together.
